Landscape Institute lancerer ny idékonkurrence om transformation af gader, pladser og grønne områder i kølvandet på COVID-19

COVID-19 has had a devastating and unprecedented effect on our lives, economies, the places where we live and our lifestyles. We want you to use your creativity and experience to create a vision for how our new world might look.

The competition is designed to generate new thinking; to acknowledge the history of public health and landscape initiatives; and most of all, to offer a platform for entrants to engage with the debate about the future of our public spaces. Read the competition brief here.

Submissions are invited for an open ideas competition to address the demands that COVID-19 is making on the landscapes of our Cities and Towns. The competition, organised by the Landscape Institute is supported by GreenBlue Urban, Ground Control, Hardscape, Selux and Vestre.

The aim of the competition is to respond to the current debates on the design and use of our urban landscape in light of the COVID-19 crisis. Students and professionals from around the world are invited to enter and there is a cash prize for the winner of each category:

  • Open to students and professionals from around the globe – and we encourage cross-disciplinary teams
  • Base your proposal on any site, anywhere. Your entry could be a series of interventions – or a bold landmark statement
  • First prize £2000 (practitioner) or £500 (student), plus sponsor accolades
