Issue #2/2021 of our magazine Landskab is out!

Our relationship with water is changing. This issue of Landskab discusses the new ground between land and water. Read about Francesco Cauda’s graduation project, Terrain Vague: a phased water-based landscape project in France. We can achieve added value when we plan with water, gaining access to the water instead of being kept away. Art is a prism that inspires us to ask different questions about the world around us and challenges us to rethink. The idea competition Kanten (The Edge) in Vejle shows the way – the award-winning projects instruct us to use water in the city, dive in, sense the water and learn to understand it. See @arkitema winning proposal, Morgendagens Dragør (Tomorrow’s Dragør), that outlines a nature-based approach to coast protection – ‘an approach that does not resist but rather welcomes the water, as an asset and a force of nature’. We need to modify our landscape practices to accommodate both fluid and solid aspects and develop new landscapes based on changeability. We need to let the water in.
